Act for Justice

Think.

‘The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.’
- Albert Einstein

We now have 329 Acts For Justice groups meeting across Europe and beyond, people committed to the cause and taking practical action against trafficking. It is so encouraging to hear feedback from groups who are seeing the impact of their work.

“We are encouraged by the letters we have received from the police and MPs. They have acknowledged the need for change, however, like everything change takes time. It’s a good job we are in this for the long haul”.
-Paul Sellers, leader of an Oxford Act For Justice Group.

We have had so many emails like the one above and it is exciting to see the impact and influence Act for Justice Groups are having. Change will take time. It requires long-term commitment, long-term dedication and long-term perseverance if we are to play a key role in fighting the injustice of people trafficking.
I want to encourage you to get ready for the long haul! This is just the start and I am so glad that you have decided to make the journey with us by being part of an Act for Justice Group, together we will make a difference.

What does it mean for us as individuals and Act for Justice groups to join the fight against trafficking for the long-haul?

Fundraising

The heart of Hope for Justice to rescue the victims of trafficking. We are excited to be considering new projects that will rescue girls from sex slavery. The new initiatives we are looking at do come with a financial cost, so this month I would ask all our Act for Justice Groups to look at ways they could raise funds for the work of Hope For Justice.

Let’s get creative and get active. Maybe you could wash cars, run a sponsored event, host a dinner party and sell tickets, have a cake stall, take a small change offering or get your family, friends and church involved in some way. Fundraising is also a great way of raising awareness of the cause and getting others involved.
Please email us and let us know what ideas you come up with - and THANK YOU for standing with us in this way.

Get Involved in the Poll!

Check out the new Hope for Justice web-site which has even more helpful information to equip and inspire you. We also want this to be a way for us to support our Act for Justice groups as we continue on our journey to change the world together.

The new site has an interactive poll for you to discuss in your next group session. Suzanne Kelly, our Act for Justice co-ordinator will analyse the responses and use the information to equip your groups for the future.
